The rack and HPS pump must be replaced at the same time if: the vehicle mileage is 110,000 or more, the hydraulic fluid level has dropped below the minimum level and the pump has operated with an incomplete system, there are wear products in the system. Make sure the rack and pinion is installed without excessive tension. During installation, stresses may occur between tie rods, brackets, and universal joint, which can then lead to steering instability. When installing the rack and pinion, the supply and return hose joints to and from the steering must be replaced. When installing a new rack and pinion, it is necessary to install new steering rod ends if they have not been changed in the last 3 months.

Use of oil not approved by the manufacturer may result in malfunction. After filling the expansion tank, the system must be bled according to the manufacturer's instructions. Some rack and pinion systems cannot be linked to the VIN, and this is not covered by the warranty.
